Friday 24 April
1:50 PM at Stand 5E-06 | ESTHER VERHAEGHE art concepts
With Christine Ayoub and the work of Daniel Enkaoua.
Registration via [email protected]
As part of its participation in Art Brussels 2026, Esther Verhaeghe – art concepts proposes a singular “Slow Art” experience. Conceived as a counterpoint to the intense rhythm of an art fair, this proposal invites a deep encounter with a work of art, through an inner, sensory experience of looking. These Slow Art sessions are free of charge and offered openly to interested visitors throughout the fair.
An Approach: Slow Art
This experience is part of the field of Slow Art, understood here as a practice of sustained attention. In front of a single work by Daniel Enkaoua, participants are invited to slow down, to inhabit their gaze, and to allow sensations and inner resonances to emerge. The experience is conceived as a discreet and suspended moment, respectful of the artwork, the space, and the flow of the fair.
A Practice Developed Since 2022
Since 2022, Esther Verhaeghe and Christine Ayoub have been developing these experiences together within the gallery Esther Verhaeghe – art concepts, particularly around works by Daniel Enkaoua. These sessions, offered regularly when the works allow for it, have met with a very strong response, with participants describing a renewed and lasting relationship to the artwork.
