edition & galerie hoffmann was established in 1967 in frankfurt to promote constructivist and concrete art. the gallery realized exhibitions and editions, in collaboration with artists across europe, japan, and the americas. in 1974, it relocated to its friedberg location, where it currently operates from a former industrial mill. edition & galerie hoffmann plays an integral role as part of the activities of the aforementioned milieus, as it also functions as a meeting point for artists. its program has included shows by artists with decades of shared history such as richard paul lohse, dóra maurer, and leon polk smith; however, it continues to show a commitment to the exhibition of contemporary artists who work in a similar tradition.
