prime

Contemporary or modern galleries presenting established and mid-career artists on an international level. The fair encourages galleries to offer a visually engaging curatorial project.

'68 forward

Since the inception of Art Brussels in 1968, contemporary art has been marked by significant diversity, experimentation, and a breaking away from traditional conventions. ’68Forward is a new section dedicated to these many different artistic movements, offering a platform for both established artists as well as artists that have remained under the radar.

solo

Extend your Prime or ’68 Forward booth with a Solo booth. For eligibility in theSolo section, galleries are required to develop a project-based presentation by one living artist, offering a more in-depth reflection on the artist’s practice. why participate in Art Brussels?

Art Brussels is renowned for its extraordinary base of loyal and committed national and international art collectors. The fair places special emphasis on fostering a new collectors’ scene through the support of international VIP ambassadors and a dedicated programme aimed at attracting new collectors. Participating galleries also benefit from exclusive access to a list of registered collectors, enabling them to prepare and make the most of the event.

As a content-driven and collector-friendly fair, Art Brussels prioritizes quality over quantity, presenting a human-sized event with around 170 carefully selected galleries. The fair is celebrated for its balanced representation of established and emerging artists, for its curatorial selections and its many solo presentations.

Art Brussels’ dedicated team is committed to providing personalized support to exhibiting gallerists, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Art Brussels stands out as an independent player amongst the world’s leading art fairs, with a unique identity that resonates with its audiences.

“Art Brussels has orchestrated a selection and programme worthy of its 40th edition. The network of collectors based in Brussels has always been very lively, and the exhibition has always been approachable, with the right blend of casualness and high standards.”

– Joseph Kouli, French collector, about Art Brussels 2024.

“Top local key players are the assets of an art fair. Art Brussels, too, will always remain anchored in the region: for foreign visitors, that makes the experience unique. Otherwise, wouldn’t all art fairs be interchangeable?”

– Boris Vervoordt, Axel Vervoordt Gallery (Wijnegem, Hong Kong), in De Standaard, April 2024

“By the close of Sunday, most of the works in the booth were sold… Perhaps more importantly, we met many new people who seemed to deeply resonate with T.R. Ericsson’s work and practice. These included curators, scholars, and publishers, as well as private collectors and foundations. I found the overall quality of the fair and visitors a visible improvement from the last few editions.”

– Harlan Levey, Harlan Levey Projects (Brussels), about Art Brussels 2024

“Art Brussels remains among the most popular art fairs in Europe in terms of the quality of the offer, but also for an interesting base of collectors in the area. With a long-standing tradition for more established and rather cultured art, but also attentive, open-minded and curious in the discovery and purchase of lesser-known, younger and more experimental research.”

– Cristina Masturzo in Artribune, April 2024
