From concept to completion, this video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Art Brussels 2026 entrance commission.
For this edition, the fair’s threshold was reimagined by Belgian artist Natasja Mabesoone (represented by Gallery Sofie Van de Velde) with “Cher mouths Mary, Mary mouths Cher”, a site-specific installation that transformed the entrance into a striking, immersive passage.
In the video, Managing Director Nele Verhaeren reflects on the thinking behind inviting an artist to shape this first encounter with the fair, and on Mabesoone’s selection. The artist, in turn, shares insights into the realization of the project and on how visitors engaged with the work once unveiled.
