23—26.04.26 Brussels Expo
Contemporary or modern galleries presenting established and mid-career artists on an international level.
In this section, the galleries showcase a project-based presentation of a living artist, offering a deeper reflection on the artist’s practice.
Galleries that actively support emerging international artists hosting booths with a single artist presentation or an interesting dialogue between two artists who are not yet known in the European context, and whose practices constitute a real ‘discovery’ for collectors.
Since the inception of Art Brussels in 1968, contemporary art has been marked by significant diversity, experimentation, and a breaking away from traditional conventions. ’68 Forward is a new section dedicated to these many different artistic movements, offering a platform for both established artists as well as artists that have remained under the radar.
This section offers galleries the opportunity to present a large-scale project by one artist that goes beyond the traditional booth format in both scale and ambition. These groundbreaking works push boundaries and help shape new horizons, inviting viewers to look beyond the familiar and explore fresh perspectives. The selected projects will be showcased together in Hall 6, within a specially designed exhibition setting created by internationally renowned curators who will also oversee the selection process.
Invited is a diverse section that champions the evolution of the art market and provides booths to young and upcoming galleries who have never participated in Art Brussels before and who stand out for their ambition, programming and curating, and in some cases, in ways they challenge the traditional gallery model. Participants have carte blanche for their presentation at the fair.
It is not possible to apply for the Invited section. All participating galleries are directly invited by the fair organisation.
