INTERNSHIP – COMMUNICATIONs & EVENTs ASSISTANT (m/f/x)
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Communications Officer :
– You assist in the preparation, management and implementation of the organic social media editorial plan.
– You follow trends in digital art communication and propose new ideas and improvements.
– You create and implement content to promote the two fairs
– You collect and analyse the content provided by the galleries.
– You assist in the preparation of press kits.
– You Contribute to the management of digital content on the Art Antwerp & Art Brussels websites
– You provide daily support to the team.
Your profile
– You are a student or recent graduate in communications, marketing, graphic design, art or a related field.
– You have a good knowledge of social networks and are a digital native.
– Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of Dutch or French would be an advantage.
– Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is an advantage.
– Organisational skills, dynamism, enthusiasm, resilience and attention to detail.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Internship contract (with student status) or Professional Immersion Agreement (CIP)
Part-time or full-time (flexible) – October to December 2024 (possibility of extending the internship to May 2024 and include Art Brussels)

Founded in 1968, Art Brussels is one of Europe’s leading art fairs and a major event for contemporary art in Belgium. The fair offers a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover international contemporary artists, as well as the richness of the European capital’s artistic and cultural scene. Every April, it attracts a growing number of collectors, gallery owners, directors of institutions and art lovers from all over the world, with around 26,000 visitors. In 2021, Art Brussels launched a new contemporary art fair in Antwerp, bringing together some seventy galleries. For its 4th edition, Art Antwerp will be held from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 December 2024 at Antwerp Expo.
INTERNSHIP – VIP ASSISTANT (m/f/x)
Responsibilities
Your main task will be to support the VIP Events & Relations Department in two aspects:
– Organizing a quality OFF-programme during Art Antwerp and Art Brussels; following up on collaboration agreements with Belgian cultural institutions.
– Administrative follow-up with Belgian and international VIP contacts.
Your tasks
Before the fair:
- Assist with organizing events taking place in Brussels and Antwerp during Art Brussels/Art Antwerp.
- Manage VIP contacts: remove duplicates, update, and enter new contacts.
- Send out VIP invitations.
- Assist with following up with international museums to invite “museum friends.”
- Coordinate the rooming list for our foreign collectors.
During the fair (Art Antwerp: 12-15 December 2024 and Art Brussels: 24-27 April 2025)
- Presence at the VIP desk: welcoming VIP guests.
- Accompanying activities in the VIP programme.
Your profile
Are you a team player? Are you passionate about contemporary art? Do you have organisational talent? Are you good at PR and willing to perform administrative tasks? Then this internship is suitable for you! Art Brussels/Art Antwerp has a very international character, so language skills are particularly important (NL FR ENG).
